Microblading

6 D Microblading

What is 6 D Microblading Semi Permanent make up?

Naturally perfect eyebrows are few and far between, however microblading makes it possible to achieve super natural looking brows, which are the nearest thing to natural perfection!

6D Microblading is the latest form of permanent make-up and is a relatively new technique of enhancing the appearance of eyebrows with the use of an ultra-thin blade.  This blade is a grouping of extremely fine needles affixed to a hand tool to manually create clean and crisp lines that resemble eyebrow hairs. Natural pigment is deposited into the upper dermal layer of the skin, making it semi-permanent for 1 – 2 years, depending on the skin type and client’s lifestyle.

This technique will result in thin and defined hair strokes as oppose to the conventional permanent make-up machine which can create a solid and unnatural ‘drawn on’ look.

Who can benefit from permanent make up?

  • Everyone, from the young to the elderly, who desire a soft, natural enhancement to their appearance.
  • It is especially beneficial to people who cant wear cosmetics due to allergies, skin and eye sensitivities.
  • Older ladies without eyebrows or with sparse or droopy eyebrows, uneven lip lines etc.
  • Active people who want to look their best for activities such as swimming, hiking, tennis, aerobics and those who don’t want to be worried about sweating off or re-applying cosmetics.
  • Also the visually impaired who have difficulty applying their cosmetics and other motor impairments such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis, stroke survivors and those with unsteady hands who cannot apply their own make up as well as busy people who don’t have time to spend on their own make up.

Does microblading hurt?

Everyone has a different pain tolerance. Most clients barely feel a thing – some even fall asleep while others find the pain intense but manageable.  A numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure as well as a topical anaesthetic during the procedure.  The therapist will always try her best to make you as comfortable as possible and manage any discomfort.

Please note that if you are on your cycle or if you have had alcoholic beverages, coffee or energising drinks the day of/or the night before, you may be more sensitive to the procedure.

How long does the procedure take?

The appointment is typically 2.5 hours depending on how long it takes for your approval of the eyebrow shape and drawing.  Preparation, measuring and drawing can take up to an hour. Microblading itself will take approximately 1 – 1.5 hours.

What should I do before my procedure?

You need to send a close-up picture of your natural brows to the microblading artist together with a picture of the ideal brow shape you would like.  In this way, the artist can examine your eyebrows beforehand and advise whether your expectations can be met.  This avoids any disappointment and time wasted

Permanent Eyeliner

What is  PMU Eye Liner?

Permanent Eyeliner eliminates the need to apply eyeliner with makeup, and can be done on the upper and lower lash line. Permanent Eyeliner can also frame the eyes and can make eyelashes appear thicker, darker and fuller. All permanent cosmetic procedures are a multi-session process.

You are required to come back for at least one touch-up visit before it can be determined that your work is complete. Be prepared for the initial color intensity of your procedure to be significantly sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition based upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates. While these tattooed colors may initially simulate the exact color and tone desired, they will not always remain a perfect match.

Tattooed colors are constant, while your own skin color will vary depending on exposure to cold, heat, sun, and circulatory changes

What if I’m not sure how much eyeliner I’d like to have applied?

The procedure is done in two appointments. During the first session it is always best to be modest with thickness, line length and color as we can always add more at the second session. The artist will work with you to determine the perfect shape and placement for your specific features

Please note that if you are on your cycle or if you have had alcoholic beverages, coffee or energising drinks the day of/or the night before, you may be more sensitive to the procedure.

How long does the procedure take?

The first procedure takes approximately 2-2.5 hours, the 6 week touch up is about 1.5 hours

What will i look like after immediately after my procedure?

There will be swelling typically for the first 24-48 hours. While the swelling starts going down right away and most people are back to normal by the following morning, plan on 48 hours of staying low key to be safe! The color will appear darker the first week, but will gradually lighten and may possibly scab

Does it hurt?

The eyeliner or lash line procedure is more psychologically scary to most clients than anything else. The discomfort is relative as everyone has a different level of sensitivity. A topical lidocaine is applied to the eyelids for numbing prior, and anesthetic is applied during the procedure. Every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the duration of the procedure.
